That's the advice my 28 year-old son, Christopher gave me when I told him of our latest dilemma with the RV. It wasn't said with sarcasm but with a gentle shaking of my spirit that said, "Snap out of it!"
Our walk for Christ was to have begun on April 1 and then it was delayed to August 31 after a series of mechanical issues. Nothing has been life threatening, just costly and frustrating. Sometimes when "stuff" is happening to us, we lose perspective and go into the "Woe is me" mode.
My son's comment jolted me back to reality. Here's the good news....
#1 - Christopher is into the Word of God. Nothing could be better!
#2 - He is willing to risk giving his father a little reality check....no small task for a son.
#3 - I was reminded that money was meant to be used to live and circulate, not stored to be admired.
#4 - I remembered all the people that are part of Christ Walk....those who are praying for us,
supporting us with donations, positive emails, encouraging phone calls plus their time and talents.
Here's the bottom line.........No matter what I am praising God anyway!
Thanks for the wake-up call, Chris!
